From 2004 to the end of 2007 Ashington Folk Club was run by Jimmy and Val (jiva). During their time at the club they created a new website (the envy of many), increased performer participation and audience attendance and also introduced a gallery of performers. They also made soundbites of the performers available on the History, Recent Events and Performers pages.

They also created an archive covering the period from the beginnings of the club in 1962 up to the end of jiva's stewardship, andthey plan to continue updating the Club History pages as more information becomes available. This archive is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the club organisers, officials, helpers, performers and audience over the years.
